We place engineered riprap and rock armor to protect streambanks, culvert outfalls, ditch inverts, and slopes from the erosive force of concentrated stormwater flows. In Western Washington's high-energy wet-season streams and outfalls, unarmored surfaces scour rapidly and threaten adjacent infrastructure. Our crews prepare a proper filter layer or fabric, size and place rock to specification, and key the armor into stable ground to prevent undermining. Where work is near water, we follow the region's in-water timing and permit conditions and document the completed protection.
