What This Service Involves

Thermoplastic delivers far longer service life than paint for high-traffic municipal markings, and our crews apply it to crosswalks, stop bars, arrows, and lane lines. Surfaces are cleaned and, where needed, primed so the material bonds properly to asphalt or concrete and holds up to Western Washington wet-season traffic. Markings are laid out to MUTCD dimensions and coordinated with your traffic engineering standards for line width and spacing. Preformed or spray thermoplastic is selected by application, balancing durability against installation speed and cost.

Our Process

1) Clean and prepare the pavement and prime where required; 2) Lay out markings to MUTCD dimensions with staff sign-off; 3) Apply spray or preformed thermoplastic at proper temperature; 4) Protect the marking until cured and open the lane

Thermoplastic bonds best in warm, dry conditions, so application is concentrated in the late spring through early fall window.
