Bus loading areas subject asphalt to concentrated braking and idling loads that quickly deform, and our concrete bus pads solve that failure permanently. We build thickened, reinforced slabs designed for repeated transit-vehicle axle loads and the shear forces of stopping buses. Transitions to adjacent pavement are doweled and sloped to keep the boarding area draining and level. Work is staged with the transit agency to minimize route disruption and maintain rider access.
