What This Service Involves

A proper mulch ring is one of the cheapest ways to keep public trees healthy, and our crews install and refresh them to the correct depth and shape. We apply mulch in a wide, shallow ring that holds moisture and suppresses weeds while keeping material pulled back from the trunk to prevent rot and pest problems. Mulch rings also create a mow-free buffer that shields trunks from string trimmers and mowers, a leading cause of young-tree damage. We can source arborist wood chips, including recycled material from your own tree work, to control cost. Application is documented and coordinated with your grounds maintenance cycle.
