What This Service Involves

Washington City Services manages roadside vegetation on municipal and district road networks using boom and spot spraying tuned to shoulder conditions. We suppress growth encroaching on fog lines, guardrail runs, sign faces, and ditch flow lines that compromise motorist safety. Applications follow NPDES and county buffer requirements where roadways parallel ditches and culverts feeding regional waterways. Route logs record each treated segment by mile marker or intersection for your maintenance division.

Our Process

1) Survey the route and flag guardrail, sign, and drainage priority segments; 2) Set boom height and pressure for shoulder width and adjacent buffers; 3) Treat in coordinated passes with flaggers or signage per WSDOT traffic control; 4) Log treated mileage and note segments requiring mechanical follow-up
