What This Service Involves

We treat invasive aquatic plants such as Eurasian watermilfoil, fragrant water lily, and parrotfeather in public water bodies under the appropriate Ecology NPDES aquatic permit. Applicators certified in the aquatic pest category select products labeled for water use and observe all potable-water and irrigation-withdrawal setbacks. Treatments are timed to protect fish windows and coordinated with any Ecology or WDFW conditions attached to the water body. We provide the monitoring and reporting that aquatic permits require, keeping the agency in good standing.

Our Process

1) Identify aquatic species and confirm permit coverage and treatment windows; 2) Notify adjacent water users and post required aquatic-use signage; 3) Apply aquatic-labeled product with a certified aquatic applicator; 4) Monitor water body recovery and submit permit-required reporting

Best Time of Year

Aquatic treatments are generally most effective in mid to late summer when target plants are established and water temperatures support uptake.
